Two hearts. Two countries. One unforgettable journey. Tam, from Berlin, and Kim, from Saint Louis, first crossed paths on May 1st, 2022, in Berlin. Kim had traveled with her dad and brother to visit family, not knowing she was about to meet someone who would change her life forever. What started as casual hangouts with cousins quickly turned into a week full of laughter, karaoke nights, spontaneous adventures, and shared glances that meant more than either of us expected. We began as friends — but even then, something felt different. In July 2023, our story took us to Alanya, Turkey, with our cousins. Somewhere between the sunsets and late-night talks, we realized the connection was growing stronger. After that trip, distance couldn’t stop us. We FaceTimed every single day, living our lives in different countries but slowly growing closer with each call, each shared moment. Not long after, Kim booked a spontaneous flight to Berlin — a leap of faith to see where this connection could lead. In late September, she arrived in Berlin quietly, choosing to keep it just between the two of us, so we could take the time to truly feel what had been building. It was magical, honest, and full of butterflies. On October 2nd, 2023, we had that "talk" — the one where everything clicked, and we finally confessed our feelings for each other face-to-face. Though a few weeks earlier, Tam had already slipped out the words “I love you” by accident… the truth was, those feelings had been there for a while. From that moment on, our story unfolded across cities, time zones, and so many unforgettable moments — including a beautiful wedding in South Africa, where our journey took its biggest turn yet.

On a quiet mountainside in Cape Town, Tam got down on one knee and asked Kim to be his forever. Months of planning went into that one breathtaking moment — and Kim said yes! So here we are — engaged, in love, and so excited to begin the next chapter of our journey. We’ve traveled far, grown together through time and distance, and now we can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of forever with all of you.
