Our story began during an animation conference in November 2014. Philip first noticed Kimberly across the table, immersed in her animation homework. It was an instant connection, and he was determined to catch her attention before the conference ended. After the conference, we spent many hours exchanging stickers on Facebook Messenger, EDM songs on Spotify, and shared our passion for animation. We finally reconnected in person in Disney World in 2017. After that we remained committed to each other long distance. Despite the miles between us, our bond only deepened. Finally, on March 3rd, 2020, just before the world faced unexpected changes, Kimberly made a courageous move to Vancouver. It was incredibly lucky timing, as we went from only seeing each other a few times each year, to being stuck together 24/7. But we were so excited to finally be together, and take the next step forward.

In early January 2022, Phil took Kim to the snowshoeing trails on Seymour Mountain, a place that always brought her joy. It was rainy, but they decided to enjoy the day anyway. Near the end of the trek, Phil found a quiet spot in the snow, and knelt down on one knee. As Kimberly said "Yes!" the rain magically turned to snow, marking the beginning of their forever amidst nature's celestial blessing.
