We had crossed paths several times between CrossFit gyms, weightlifting meets, and various competitions. We chatted on occasion, and then one day Mike sent a Facebook message: "Hey do you want to go for a run sometime tomorrow? Sunday Funday!" We went for said run, and lunch after. Later that week Mike invited Kim to go for a swim...little did he know Kim was a former State Champion (of Rhode Island, but State Champion nonetheless). Needless to say, his vision of showing off his swimming skills went a little differently than expected! After a few more meals together, filled with silly jokes and plenty of laughter, and a subtle, but thoughtful, single rose on Valentine's Day, Kim realized that this was more than just a new workout buddy! Everything blossomed from there...

Our family and friends mean the world to us. We've loved building a community here in North Carolina. The vision for our wedding day is to be able to spend a day with everyone we love in a laid back environment. We want to be able to share this celebration with as many people as possible! We dream of an afternoon outside, enjoying everything we love about spring in North Carolina followed by an evening of socializing in an environment where everyone feels at home.
