It's finally happening!

We first met at Michiana African SDA Church, March 22nd, 2014. The youth were planning their week of prayer and that is when we were introduced to each other. Two weeks later we met again at African church, a day after my birthday and Mike asked if he could take me out, just to celebrate me turning 20. He said it will be my "birthday week". We went out, realized we really enjoyed each other's company and a few months later we were official and that is how our journey started.

When we first started dating Mike promised he'd take me to a frozen yogurt place in St Joe. Each time we'd plan on going there something would always come up, then 5 years later we finally got a chance to go. We got our yogurts and decided to go down to the tracks (something we did in one of our first dates). We hung out there for a few minutes, watched the sunset, but then it started raining. As I turned around to walk back to the car, Mike had gotten down on one knee on the train tracks, with a ring in his hand, and that is when he popped the question. Of course, I said YES!
