Kimberly Abel

Bride

Kim was born in El Paso, TX on August 16, 1993. She is the second oldest of 5 children. She graduated from Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas and attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. She moved to Louisiana in 2013 to make a life for herself but not stray too far from family. She began working at Baton Rouge Harley-Davidson where she met Jeff. She has recently began working at Tiger Honda of Gonzales in Gonzales, LA as Assistant Controller/Office Manager. Note from Bride: "I just want to thank everyone for going on this adventure with us. We have both had to move away from so many friends and family and everyone has stuck by us even with hundreds of miles between us. I hope everyone will be able to attend our wedding.

Maid of Honor

The first thing that comes to my mind whenever I think of Kimberly is "sisters by chance, friends by choice". I have many memories of my sister growing up, most of them ending in either of us getting in trouble. But my fondest memories start whenever she moved out to college, that is when we became closer. I remember Kim picking me up for sister weekends at her dorm, and us blaring the radio the entire way. Or when she taught me how to 2 step. Above all, you've been a great friend. Even though she's faraway, she's still the first person I call with good news or bad, when I need advice, or someone to listen to me. And even though it was hard at first to share my sister with someone else, I could not wish for a better person for my sister to spend the rest of her life with. I love you both!

Kim and I have known each other since the start of '15. We are both young girl bosses in a male-driven work environment so naturally, we gravitated toward each other. Our friendship grew over ALOT of nights watching KUWTK and complaining/brainstorming about work in comfy clothes while drinking too much wine. Kim has been there for me in some of the hardest times of my life. She's a great listener, a sweet soul and so much fun. I love that she can be a proper lady over tea or take a shot of jack before a ride on the Harley. I love seeing Kim & Jeff together because they are the perfect yin and yang. Sometimes one of them holds the other together in tough times, sometimes one makes the other let loose & have more fun (that one is mostly Jeff). I'm so happy to have witnessed their love story

Kimmy and I met in '08 in our freshman math class. We were both dating football players with their jersey numbers off by 1 and for some odd reason that's why we knew we needed to be BFFs. From then we went to EVERY game together and our friendship just grew from there. From nights muddin in our friends trucks, to sneaking out and going to parks, to staying up till 4am watching baking shows , then thinking we can do what they do and going "cupcake crazy" and waking my mom up with the smell of cake. To now when we tag each other in memories on FB from high school and we are scared to open it because of all the strange stuff we got into. All I can say is I'm glad we are still making crazy memories together and I don't know where I would be with out you in my life! Love you girl!

We met our freshman year on the bus to South Campus. Little did I know I'd see you again the same class. Once back on the bus heading back to North Campus I worked up the courage to go and talk to you. Best decision I made because 11 years later we are still best friends. By no means has these 11 years been easy. The amount of guys that I've had to fend off & talk you out of seeing was exhausting. In the end though it was all worth it to see you happily in love with the man you've dreamed of. This doesn't mean though that I'm just going to put down my fists. You best believe if I find out someone's messing with you I'm going to go with Jeff to kick the crap out of whoever it is. We may not be blood related but you'll always be my sister.
