Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is Black Tie. Tuxes are preferred but a black suit with black tie/bow tie is fashionable.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Church Ceremony: Parking is available free of charge behind Homesavers off Tullow Street Carlow - 83A Tullow St, Carlow, R93 XC61 and the Cathedral is sign posted from the car park. Paid Parking is also available at "The Irishmans Car Park" Located 100m past the Cathedral on college street. Kilkea Castle: There is ample parking available at Kilkea Castle. Parking is available at the Golf Club or outside the Lodge Rooms.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The Ceremony will begin at 1:30pm. Please give yourself time to get to the parking area and walk to the Cathedral. We expect everyone to be seated by 1.25pm.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels - please tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #kimandeoin so we can keep track of all of your pictures! Our only request is that photos of Kim and Eoin not be posted on social media until we have done so ourselves!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The bridal party will then be taking pictures on the grounds of Kilkea for a short while! Guests can head straight to Kilkea Castle and get themselves checked in and enjoy the drinks reception on the terrace of the Castle right outside "The Keep" where we will be serving canapés and drinks!

How do I get to the ceremony from Waterford?

Answer

Follow M9 heading to Dublin/N10/Kilkenny/Mullinavat, at junction 6, take the R448 exit to Carlow/Leighlinbridge. The journey is approx 50 minutes from Waterford depending on traffic.

How do I get to the ceremony from Dublin?

Answer

Follow N7 to M7 in Kildare, continue onto M7 (signs for Limerick/Cork/Waterford/M8/M9). Keep left at the fork to continue on M9, follow signs for N10/Waterford/Kilkenny/Kilcullen,.At junction 4, take the R448 exit to Carlow (North)/Castledermot/Tullow.
