Question

What COVID precautions will be in place on our wedding day?

Answer

We're glad you asked! We are closely monitoring the pandemic and will make adjustments as restrictions are lifted. Things we know so far- Our ceremony and reception will take place outdoors. Per new CDC guidance, if you are fully vaccinated, you will not need to wear a mask outdoors. Yay! We will host a cocktail hour before our reception. During both of these times, guests will be asked to wear a mask only when interacting with event staff on site, i.e grabbing a drink from the bar :) Our venue asks us to take these precautions in order to keep their employees safe.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Answer

We recommend a cocktail dress for the ladies and a suit and tie or a sport coat for the gents. It will be very warm in June, so plan for heat. Don't forget your dancing shoes!

CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation was addressed to you and a date, then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

SHOULD I RENT A CAR?

Answer

San Diego is very easy to get around without one, but if you would prefer to drive yourself around, or are planning to visit places outside of San Diego while you are here, there are tons of rental companies right at the San Diego airport. For day of travel, the venue is about a 45 minute drive from the hotel. We recommend using Uber or Lyft to get you there and back, so you can enjoy the night without worry. Should you drive yourself and end up having one too many, you can leave your car at our venue and pick it up the following morning before noon!

WILL WE NEED TO TRAVEL BETWEEN THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Answer

Nope! Our ceremony is just steps away from the reception location.

HAVE YOU BOOKED HOTEL ROOM BLOCKS?

Answer

Unfortunately, hotel blocks were no cheaper that regular bookings due to the holiday weekend just around the corner! We suggest looking into Airbnb and VRBO rental properties, as your money will go much further here in San Diego. If you want to be near the weekend festivities, we suggest looking in Pacific Beach, Mission Beach, or Clairemont. If you have any questions, just reach out to Kim and Dave. They are happy to help!
