There is so much to do in and around Alexandria.  Here are some of our favorites. 

-Take a walking tour of Old Towne.
-Rent bikes or walk along the Mt. Vernon Trail that stretches up to DC and down to Mount Vernon.
-Rent a kayak or canoe and enjoy the Potomac River.
-Visit the Old Towne Farmers Market Saturday morning.
-Mosy around the shops, walk along the waterfront, and enjoy the restaurants in Old Towne.
-Visit Port City Brewing Company, a local favorite.
-Stop by the Gadsby's Tavern, one of George Washington's old haunts.
-Tour the Carlyle House right in Old Towne.
-Take some time to tour Mount Vernon, home of George Washington, or Gunston Hall, home of George Mason.  Both of these places provide beautiful walking paths.
-Drive over to Fort Washington, MD, and take in the views along the river.
-Enjoy the many trails through the woods at Fort Belvior.
-Spend an extra day and head over to our nation's capital.
