We met in 2013 when Kim accepted a job offer at Tesla. Clay admitted I caught his eye on my first day, but what he didn't know, at that time was I'd be asking my coworker about him right when I saw him! Clay worked as a technician that frequently consist of sitting at Kim's desk to discuss the condition of the cars he's working on. Awkward us, struggling to make eye contact and carry a conversation. We both get extremely nervous, start stuttering, and talking but just not making any sense. Although it was awkward, we enjoyed each others presence that we continued to be awkward friends. For years, our coworkers would always push us to "just get together already" cause it was obvious there was something. We had the same close group of friends at work so we'd always be hanging out as a group but nothing more. Three years later, things changed. One night we went out to go bowling with our friends and after a little liquid courage, we both stepped outside to talk and things just felt different. The awkwardness disappeared as we talked outside all night despite having work early in the morning the next day. We started to go on more dates and eventually it just felt right. He would go to lunch with the guys and would always bring me back an order for myself and leave it on my desk with a cute little note. He noticed I would constantly clean the fingerprints off of my 2015 Warriors Championship Trophy that I displayed on my work desk, so he bought me a nice trophy case so that I wouldn't have to clean it as often. The little things he noticed and did for me just won my heart. In May of 2016, all he wanted for his birthday was for us to be official. He asked me to be his girlfriend the day before his birthday. Now, here we are, ready for the next chapter of our lives together and looking forward to what our future has in store for us!
