Kim & Isaac

Isaac Humphrey

and

Kim Loewen

Dearest family and friends,

We are ecstatic to announce that on 8.16.2020, we came before God and made the promise of a lifetime. We made the vow to love and cherish each other forever as husband and wife! Due to our difference in nationality and how greatly COVID-19 has affected how the world functions, we decided to take the safe route and make this beautiful promise now. The last thing we want is to be separated due to our difference in nationality and a pandemic. With such a short notice, we've decided to have a private ceremony now and plan on having a celebration with our family and friends in the near future. For now, please enjoy the pictures posted on this website. We will include as many as possible so you can see the joy we all felt on this magical day! With love and thanks, Kim and Isaac

How we met

6.2.2018

Kim’s version: We met in the T-Room at Murray State University. I had started my first on-campus job at the salad bar and Isaac loved the chicken, bacon, ranch sandwiches we sold. I noticed that he was extra friendly with me and I thought he was very attractive and sweet so I started to give him triple the amount of meat we were instructed to put on sandwiches! I guess food is the way to a man’s heart because he asked me for my phone number after 3 weeks of giggles and short conversations. Isaac’s version: I will always be grateful for Murray State University and the T-Room because that is where I had the opportunity to meet the future love of my life! The first moment I looked into the eyes of my beautiful Belizean beauty, I knew there was just something special about her. Since the first time I saw her, I could not stop thinking about how beautiful, kind, and loveable she was. Long story short, it took me about 2-3 weeks of going in there and talking to her while she made the massive sandwiches for me before I built up my courage and realized I could not come back again without asking for her number. I could not be happier with my life and the people in it!

The proposal

3.14.2020

On March 14th, my best friend asked for my hand in marriage! It was spring break and we took a quick trip to Belize to visit my family. Little did I know, Isaac had a beautiful engagement ring in our shared luggage. He had a few good scares because I tend to organize a lot and went through our bag a few times to switch things around and make it pretty. He worked so hard to hide the ring as we made our way to one of the islands of Belize where he proposed to me over the beautiful Caribbean sea at sunset. Thank you for making this entire experience so special my love. I couldn’t imagine it any other way.

The promise of a lifetime

8.16.2020

August 16th, 2020 marks the most special day of our lives. We can both happily say that this decision is just the first step towards spending countless, loving years growing old with each other.
