We're Getting Married

It was September 2018, and I had kind of decided I was over dating for a while, but I wanted to still talk and meet new people...then Anthony came into my life. In between working on my coursework, I would go on my online dating profile and just talk to people. Most guys online are not the greatest, but sometimes you can make a friend. When Anthony messaged me, I never could have imagined where life would take me. I really thought he was a nice guy, who would end up being a friend due to our distance. However, luckily for me his kindness was genuine and he wasn't afraid to take on the challenge of the distance. Due to our busy schedules we didn't meet in person until November, but when we did it became clear that our online chemistry translated in person and... it was even better. We became an official couple the day we met in person. Two months of talking had helped us build to that moment. Fast forward...April 21st, 2019, Easter day, Anthony proposed to me in front of his family on Easter. Contrary to popular memes, there is nothing wrong with getting engaged on a holiday...especially one that is not always a holiday. lol. Easter as we all know, never falls on the same day from year to year. Through the good times, small victories in my studies, and the hard times, losing my grandmother, Anthony has proven that he will be an amazing husband. He has also been a good sport about my passion for fashion...I mean he did take me to two fashion exhibits in one day. I can't wait to start this journey with him, as his wife. In this relationship, I am the one who naturally is able to put my feelings into written form. Anthony shows his love in other ways. He may not be the sappy letters type, but his love is enduring and unconditional. His support is unwavering and his tolerance for my love of shoes and handbags is impressive. Here is to starting the next phase of our relationship... Anthony is truly the love of my life. My only regret is not meeting him sooner.

We will be holding our small ceremony on September 4th, 2021. This first ceremony is mostly for parents, Anthony's grandmom, and siblings. Our bigger ceremony is in the spring of 2022. This ceremony is for the bigger portion of our family and friends.
