Max Burke was having a deep conversation with Makayla about TV shows, and when Doctor Who was mentioned and Makayla was a fan of the show, Killian's interest was peaked. Who was this Doctor Who loving girl? He had to go meet her.

Killian made us a vegetarian dinner that evening at the Barker house. Then we did s'mores. Makayla was very focused on getting Killian another s'more so when he knelt she didn't think anything of it. When he took out the ring, her first verbal reaction was "No!" and internally she thought "that isn't a s'more stick, Killian." And then realization hit, and she said matter of factly, "You got it......You got it......you got it!" until finally Killian asked, "Will you marry me?" to which she responded, "Yis." Not yes...yis!

Due to Covid-19 cancelling our wedding date at our venue, we are getting creative and had to reschedule the wedding reception! We have been engaged for 2 years now, and September 26, 2020 is our day. However, we now have a new location and a max of 50 people gathering due to restrictions. We will be having a small intimate casual wedding September 26, 2020, followed on May 1st, 2021 by a renewal of our wedding vows and our beautiful well thought out reception following. We are so excited to get married and especially to celebrate with each and every one of you!
