Things To Do
Sinks Canyon State Park
Sinks Canyon is minutes from town and well worth the trip. We recommend you stop at the visitors center to learn about the “Sinks and the Rise” cave system. Also, be sure to take some quarters to feed the fish.
Popo Agie Falls
The Popo Agie Falls Trail is approximately 5 miles round trip, and the views are stunning. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, and the water levels are high enough you can even experience nature’s version of a water slide.
Johnny Behind the Rocks Trail System
An excellent trail system about 15 minutes outside of town. Trails are suited for both hiking and mountain biking.
National Museum of Military Vehicles
This museum is filled with historic military vehicles and artifacts. It is located about 60 minutes from Lander, but well worth the trip.
