We’re Getting Married!

Doug and Jens love Story first started when they crossed paths at Amicalola Falls (Springer Mountain) Dec 14th 2014. Our love Story is written in the stars. We both were in the area to witness the spectacular Geminids Meteor Shower, the best meteor shower of the year, better known as Winter Fireworks. After chatting with this charming/handsome man, I ended up hiking to the top of Springer Mountain an 8.8 mile hike. You have heard the saying “You had me at hello”. That night Doug asked me “Would I like a marshmallow in my hot Chocolate” I would say those were the magic words. We ended up exchanging information. Christmas and News Years passed. Finally we had our first date, and then a second. After discovering how much we have in common and complimented each other., We have shared many hiking trips and traveled to many cities together, and made many memories.

As many of you know Doug proposed at Amicalola Falls on March 7 2020. Our Love flows like the water flows over the falls. We absolutely love water falls. That brings us to the announcement of our engagement. We are definitely soulmates. We are best friends. We are living our fairytale. We cannot wait to start the next chapter of our fairy tale and celebrate with our favorite people
