How do you juggle a double date with a cute guy set up by friends and a happy hour with amazing co-workers you can't possibly turn down all on the same night? You do both of course! Time management is not my forte but I knew I could go for "one drink" with my co-workers and still rush home in time to get ready for our first date. You guessed it, "one drink" turned into several hours of great stories and laughter, and a clock that kept ticking. What can I say?! I love to talk! Thankfully, this is a trait that Spencer and I share. In a nutshell, Spencer has the patience of a saint and was still waiting at the kitchen counter as my friends tried to stall for me at my late arrival. Spencer's first impression was "what did I get myself into with this crazy girl?" As the evening progressed with sarcastic comments, jokes and easy conversation across the dinner table, there was feeling of familiarity that we both had... like we were old friends catching up where we left off. That easy flow of conversation continues to this day! After several more dates the attraction evolved from a casual acquaintance, to friendship, to a romance that led to the forever type of love. Spencer proposed on March, 8th at the sweetest cabin in Fredricksburg and so begins our happily ever after.
