Question

What is an elopement sendoff party?

Answer

Since we are keeping our elopement in Washington small and intimate, we're celebrating with a sendoff party to share the love with all of you! Think of it as a pre-wedding bash, -part celebration, part farewell- to toast and share in the excitement before we head off and say, "I do". It is our way of including everyone we love in the joy of this season, even if you will not be there for the vows themselves. Dress is semi-formal, and we hope you will join us for an evening of good company, and great food. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!

Question

Do we have to pay to enter the National Park?

Answer

Yes. The daily park pass price is $30 per vehicle. If you plan on going to the park multiple times during your stay, then you can purchase the Annual Pass which is $55 per vehicle. We recommend purchasing the park pass beforehand so you can enter the park quickly and easily! You can purchase the park pass on the website linked on the 'Things to Do Page' under Mount Rainier National Park.

Question

What is the dress code for Washington?

Answer

Mountain chic or formal for the wedding day, and make sure you wear comfortable shoes! We also recommend bringing a jacket or shaw for the ceremony as the weather can be unpredictable up in the Mountains. Semi- formal for the welcome dinner. Bring athletic clothes and your hiking boots if you plan on doing any hikes during your stay!

Question

Will meals be provided in Washington?

Answer

Dinner and drinks will be provided at the welcome dinner- so come hungry! After the ceremony we will provide pizza and drinks back at our Airbnb to celebrate. Please plan to cover your other meal costs throughout the length of your stay.

Question

What is the weather like in Ashford, WA in June?

Answer

June at Mount Rainier is a mix of early summer sunshine and classic mountain unpredictability. Days are usually mild, with temps anywhere between mid 50s- to mid 70s. There might be leftover snow in the higher elevations, and there is always a chance of light rain or mountain mist. No matter what the weather brings the views are incredible and we can't wait to share this beautiful place (and day!) with you all.
