Since we are keeping our elopement in Washington small and intimate, we're celebrating with a send-off party to share the love with all of you! Think of it as a pre-wedding bash, -part celebration, part farewell- to toast and share in the excitement before we head off and say, "I do". It is our way of including everyone we love in the joy of this season, even if you will not be there for the vows themselves. The event is dressy casual, and we hope you will join us for an evening of good company, and great food. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you!
For the wedding ceremony we are providing a party bus to take all of us to the park and will be covering the park fee that day for the bus to enter. If you plan on entering the park throughout the rest of your stay, you will be required to purchase a vehicle park pass which is $30 per vehicle and is good for a 7-day period. We recommend purchasing the park pass beforehand so you can enter the park quickly and easily! You can purchase the park pass on the website linked on the 'Things to Do Page' under Mount Rainier National Park.
Mountain chic or formal for the wedding day, and make sure you wear comfortable shoes! We also recommend bringing a jacket or shaw for the ceremony as the weather can be unpredictable up in the Mountains. Mountain chic or dressy casual for the welcome dinner. Bring athletic clothes and your hiking boots if you plan on doing any hikes during your stay!
Dinner and drinks will be provided at the welcome dinner- so come hungry! After the ceremony we will provide pizza, dessert and drinks back at our Airbnb to celebrate. Please plan to cover your other meal costs throughout the length of your stay.
June at Mount Rainier is a mix of early summer sunshine and classic mountain unpredictability. Days are usually mild, with temps anywhere between mid 50s- to mid 70s. There might be leftover snow in the higher elevations, and there is always a chance of light rain or mountain mist. No matter what the weather brings the views are incredible and we can't wait to share this beautiful place (and day!) with you all.
