Are kids welcome?

This event is for guests aged 18 and older.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Having you celebrate with us is enough - if you'd still like to give a gift, we are registered through Zola for a beautiful honeymoon to the South of France.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Dover Hall between 4:20PM and 4:40PM. Shuttle service will be provided for guests staying at our selected hotels. Shuttles will depart the hotels for the venue promptly at 4:10pm.

Is there a dress code for the weekend?

Answer

Friday: We will be kicking off the weekend with a Welcome Party at Dover Hall. The event attire will be February cocktail. Dark Academia, knits, Tweeds, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, dark jackets and slacks. Saturday: The Wedding & Reception attire will be black tie. Tuxedos or black suits, floor-length dresses, pantsuits. Sunday: We will be hosting an informal brunch at Dover Hall to see everyone off.

Phone Check - What's that all about?

Answer

We will be having a phone-free ceremony. When you arrive, you will be directed to the Solarium where you will receive your Yondr pouch. You will be asked to put your phone on silent before placing it in the pouch. Your phone will be magnetically locked in the pouch and you will hold onto it for the duration of the ceremony. After the ceremony, you will return to the Solarium where attendants will unlock the pouch and you can retrieve your phone.

Answer

Yes! Please refer to the travel section of this very wedding website for information on our preferred hotels.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Only invited guests are welcome at this event.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please make us aware of any food allergies in your RSVP.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is ample on-site parking at Dover Hall, but we will also be providing shuttles from our hotel blocks.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we will have shuttles to transport guests from our preferred hotels, Hilton Richmond Hotel & Spa and Richmond Marriott Short Pump to Dover Hall on Saturday for the Wedding. Shuttles will depart the hotels for Dover Hall promptly at 4:10pm. Please be ready to board the shuttle at 4:00pm. Shuttles will depart Dover Hall for the hotels at 9:30pm & 10:45pm.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we will be hosting a Welcome Party on Friday night and Brunch on Sunday morning. Further details in the schedule section of this website.

Can I take pictures with my phone or camera during the wedding?

Answer

While we're happy for you to take photos throughout the weekend, during the ceremony guests will keep phones in magnetic locking pouches to ensure no disturbances.

Will I be cold?

Answer

All events over the weekend will take place indoors. There will be a coat check available at all Dover Hall events. Dover Hall is centrally heated and has several lovely fireplaces to help fight the February chill. There will also be outdoor areas with space heaters for those wishing to take some air.
