FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will specify if you have a plus one.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! However, we have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult-only event with the exception of those little ones in our bridal party. We hope you understand and enjoy the night off, as we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend taking the 3:15 ferry from Portland at the latest, which will give you plenty of time to settle in before the ceremony begins at 4:00.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire. Think elevated coastal: dresses, jumpsuits, or chic separates for women; suits or jacket and tie for men. We encourage color! Please note some areas may be grass or uneven. Block heels or flats are recommended.

Question

Will I have to buy my ferry ticket?

Answer

No, your ferry ticket will be provided at the welcome event. If you’re unable to attend, please let Keith know at (315)263-2130 to coordinate pickup.

Question

Where is the ferry located?

Answer

You'll find Casco Bay Lines at 56 Commercial Street in Portland's Old Port district (Portland, ME 04101).

Question

How long is the ferry ride?

Answer

Approximately 15 minutes

Question

Can I go to Peaks Island before the wedding?

Answer

Absolutely! Your ferry ticket includes one round trip, so feel free to arrive early and explore Peaks Island. If you're planning to spend the day, we recommend renting a golf cart to make getting around even easier. You can find the ferry schedule here: https://www.cascobaylines.com/schedules/peaks-island-schedule/summer/

Question

What are ferry return times to Portland?

Answer

The ferries depart from Peaks Island (to Portland) at 8:45pm, 9:45pm, and 10:55pm. All departures will be announced to ensure guests don't miss their ferry home.
