FAQs

The Wedding Website of Sarah Kiesow and Steven Kahn
We are getting married at the historic Ribault Club, a late jazz age resort built in 1928. It is located on Fort George Island, which has been a site of human occupation for over 5,000 years. It is now run by the Florida Park Service and the National Park Service through the Timucuan Trail State and National Parks partnership. The Ribault Club has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places and is listed as an Historic Landmark by the City of Jacksonville
Question

When is the deadline for my RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than March 1, 2026. Don't forget to let us know if you're not able to make it! If you have not RSVPed by March 1 and have not otherwise reached out to us we will assume you are not able to attend.

Question

Where is the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be held at The Ribault Club in Jacksonville, Florida.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Our venue is reachable by car. You will turn onto Fort George Road from Heckscher Drive and, when the road forks, proceed on the paved road on your right to reach the venue. If you get turned around, don't worry! There is only one road around the island and you will reach our venue regardless.

Question

What is the road to the venue going to be like?

Answer

Our venue is historic and located on Fort George Island. The road to the venue is somewhat narrow - please be patient and expect to give way for vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. The road will be very dark at night but it's nothing a good set of headlights can't help!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Guests may start arriving at 4:30PM. The ceremony will start at 5:00PM.

Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Yes, we request that guests dress in semi-formal or cocktail attire. Don't overthink it!

Question

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors with dinner indoors. Weather permitting, we may have the dancefloor set up in the outdoor courtyard just a few steps from the reception room.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

March in North Florida is typically mild, with temperatures around the 70s or low 80s. However, the weather in Florida can be somewhat unpredictable and we recommend that guests monitor the forecast prior to arrival.

Question

Will there be anything going on the day before the wedding?

Answer

We are planning on being at the Green Turtle Tavern, a local dive bar in downtown Fernandina, from around 7:00PM to 9:00PM on Friday, March 27 for a very casual and informal get-together. Feel free to come through and say hello if you're in the area!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend that our guests stay on Amelia Island, which offers a variety of hotel options near the beach or historic downtown area. There are also plenty of hotels in the Jacksonville area for more budget-friendly options.

Question

Will there be dinner?

Answer

Yes! We will be having a buffet style dinner after the cocktail hour with beef and chicken options for entrees. Those with special dietary restrictions will be served plated meals by our vendor.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

There will be vegetarian and gluten free options available at cocktail hour and at dinner. If you have any dietary restrictions please contact Steven or Sarah directly.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plentiful parking available at the venue in the grassy just across the street from the main entrance.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate children.

Question

I don't have Venmo. Do you have an alternative method for the honeymoon fund on the registry?

Answer

Yes! We have a Cash App account under $sarahmkiesow
