Things To Do

New York City

New York, NY

Take some time before or after our wedding to explore New York City. The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) offers a quick and convenient way to hop into New York City. You can take the LIRR from Bethpage Station to either Penn Station or Grand Central. Both will take approximately one hour. The happy couple recommend grabbing a slice at Pizza Suprema, Village Square, or L'Industrie.

Beaches on Long Island

Cedar Beach Cedar Beach offers a picturesque setting with plenty of space to relax. The entry fee is $40 per car, and it’s a great spot for families. It features the Salt Shack, a popular beachfront eatery known for its live bands and drinks. Robert Moses State Park Located on Fire Island, Robert Moses offers stunning ocean views and a quieter beach experience. The entrance fee is $10 per car, making it perfect for picnics, beach going, and enjoying nature trails. We recommend the trail to the Fire Island Lighthouse. Long Beach Long Beach is a lively beach town with a vibrant atmosphere. The entrance fee for non-residents is $15 per person. Beyond the beach, you'll find a variety of restaurants and bars, making it an ideal destination for a full day of sun and fun.

Out East

While a bit of a trek (but worth it), there are many fun activities on the east end of Long Island: Montauk Famous for its beaches (and its prices), Montauk is a popular and lively destination during the summer on the far end of Long Island. Wineries & Breweries There are many nice wineries and breweries on the north fork of Long Island. Check out Kontokosta Winery, Greenport Harbor Brewing, and Jamesport Farm Brewery in particular.
