The Hunt is Over!

After talking on Instagram on & off for months, Jessy made his way to Kohls where Kiersten was working a shift and they met for the first time. A week later they went on their first date at Cebollas. They learned a lot about each other during this first date. They bonded over arroz con pollo & queso. The rest, as they say, was history. Although it took over a month for Jessy to finally ask Kiersten to be his girlfriend, (🙄) the two would soon after this Cebollas date spend every day together. They’d have dinner dates, breakfast dates, movie dates, and parking lot dates so they could see each other. They hiked, shopped, laughed, and spent a lot of time fishing! They became each other’s best friends.

On a cold and rainy Saturday, Jessy and Kiersten got in their truck and drove. Kiersten wasn’t sure where they were going, but Jessy had a plan. They ended up at the Salamonie Dam, one of their favorite hiking spots. When they got there they were amazed to see all of the Bald Eagles sitting in the trees. They started to walk the trails and kept seeing more and more of them. Kiersten, being the dramatic person she is, was scared to keep going thinking the Eagles would attack if they got too close to them. But Jessy, he was determined. He kept saying that he wanted to keep seeing the Eagles and assured Kiersten that they wouldn’t attack. In reality, he just wanted to make it back to the waterfall; the Eagles were just a bonus for the day. Unfortunately, the trail became flooded and they couldn’t make it to the waterfall. They walked as far as they could until Jessy started telling Kiersten how much he loved her and got down on one knee. It was the easiest “YES” Kiersten ever said.
