FAQs

Please don't hesitate to call us if your questions are not answered!
Question

Will my phone work in Grenada?

Answer

Please check with your provider about international plans or travel passes! We personally get by very well using airplane mode with Wi-Fi texting/calling. We highly recommend downloading WhatsApp before traveling, as many local businesses and taxis in Grenada use WhatsApp to communicate.

Question

What is the weather like?

Answer

80 to 85 degrees every day. There is always a nice sea breeze so it is not unbearably hot. You will need long sleeves or long pants, occasionally in air conditioned spaces.

Question

What Documents do you need to travel to Grenada?

Answer

You will need your passport for the international flight. Make sure to renew it! An online immigration form will need to be completed prior to arrival, the form becomes available within 72 hours of travel.

Question

Are the outlets different?

Answer

Check with your hotel if you need to bring an adaptor/power converter as some places only have the UK style outlets.

Question

What currency is used?

Answer

Grenada uses the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (Exchange Rate: 2.7 ECD = 1 USD) there are plenty of ATMs where you can withdraw local cash with your debit card. Most businesses will accept credit card. Most places will also accept US dollars but only if they are in pristine condition.

Question

What is the best way to get around Grenada?

Answer

There are plenty of options! Rent a car with your plane travel (as long as you are ready to drive on the left side of the road & learn the Grenadian driving style). Call any of the taxis on the Travel page. Download the app Haylup or Eberlink - these are the Grenadian versions of Lyft and Uber. Use the city buses; for details on how these work please just give us a call!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, please see the travel page of the website for some of the ones we recommend. There are also many beautiful AirBnBs in the area of Lance Aux Epines, True Blue, and Morne Rouge. Please give us a call and we'd love to talk through all your options!

Question
