Question

Are there places to eat in Solitude?

Answer

Yes there are a few restaurants in the Solitude village including: St. Bernards (Open for breakfast), Honeycomb Grill (Open for Lunch and Dinner), and Stonehaus Pizzeria and Creamery (open from 11am-7pm) Silver Fork Lodge is 2 miles down the road from Solitude and is a great spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Park City is 30 minutes away with many options to eat, shop, etc.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Friday: Mountain Elegant (button-ups, polos, no tuck required, dress, booties, jean/leather jacket etc.) Saturday: Formal/Cocktail (Recommended wearing something comfortable given that we will be taking the lift up to the ceremony and the ceremony location is on uneven ground) Sunday: If you are participating in any lawn games or spikeball tournament, costumes, party shirts, jean shorts, and overall good vibes are encouraged.

Is the ceremony mid-mountain? How do we get there?

Answer

The ceremony will be up the mountain about half way. To get there, guests will all take the chairlift (unless you feel uncomfortable doing so, please reach out to us and we can have you take a car). It takes about 7 min and runs safe, slow and smooth. If you are coming from Solitude Village a shuttle will pick you up from 2-3pm and take you over to the lift or you can park at the Moonbeam Lodge at Entry 1 and take the lift from there.

What are the COVID-19 safety precautions?

Answer

We want to make sure everyone can have a safe carefree time at our celebration. We ask if you are feeling sick to please take a covid test prior to coming to the celebration, we have older adults in attendance and want to make sure we keep our guests safe. We appreciate your understanding and please don't hesitate to reach out with any further questions.

Where should guests park for the wedding?

Answer

If you are not staying at the Solitude venue parking is in front of Moonbeam Lodge in entry one and parking is free. You will then walk up the steps to the lift and take the lift to the ceremony.

Is there a grocery store up at Solitude?

Answer

No, there is a small store with drinks/snacks, but if you are looking to get food for your condo I’d stop in Salt Lake City before you get up to Solitude.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Weather in Big Cottonwood Canyon in July is typically between 70-85 degrees where in the Salt Lake valley it can be in the 90's. The wedding venue is in Big Cottonwood Canyon and will cool down in the evening (low 50s around 9pm). The wedding festivities will be primarily outside of the reception which will be indoors.
