Aaron and Kiersten met at JW Thomas' Super Bowl party, a friend of Aaron's, in February 2022. Kiersten had just moved to the Des Moines area and had become good friends with some people from the Dallas Center/Grimes area who invited her to the party. There she met Aaron! At the time, they had only said hello, nice to meet you, and went about their nights. As time passed, Kiersten would go out to Hacienda (a favorite Mexican restaurant of the friend groups), Stevie C's and other local watering holes with the group. One night when they were all out together, everyone had decided to go biking the next morning, pro tip, never let anyone convince you of a bike ride the next day after a night out! The next day came and Aaron texted Kiersten asking if she still wanted to go ride bikes. Kiersten was unsure as she had barely known Aaron at the time but decided, what's the worst that could happen!? Needless to say, they had a great day biking and would spend the summer going to concerts, going out for shakers at Hacienda, riding bikes and tailgating at Iowa State football games come fall. They became very good friends over the summer! There was a day in November when Kiersten and Aaron decided to go to El Bait (a favorite spot of theirs on bike rides). That night they decided to jump into the deep end and finally admit they shared a bond beyond friendship. They are so excited for this next chapter in their life together and can't wait to celebrate with their favorite people on May 23rd!
