Maid of Honor
The Future Mrs. Jones and I have been lifelong friends. I have always loved showing up and surprising her at special events. My favorite surprise visit was the weekend of her showcase at The Haven. She thought that I wasn’t going to make it due to work, but I planned with my favorite accomplice AKA MaMa Caroline to sneak in town. I landed the morning of the show and made it to the house around 9 AM. Her mom called her to come to the kitchen, where I was waiting. When she saw me, she screamed at the top of her lungs and gave me the biggest hug ever. I had the opportunity to be there to support her throughout the day and see her do what she loved. If you were at that show, you know she killed it.

There’s people that are friends that you meet along the way and then there’s those that are like family. Kierra has always been that friend/family member for me. We’ve known each other since we were kids. Our parents were friends. I don’t know of a time we haven’t been in each others lives. So memories are endless from sleepovers to overnight camps to tea parties. The best memory is …when I had to get ready for a pageant and my talent portion wasn’t together. Aunt Caroline and Kierra came to the house and she helped me with breathing and voice control to be able to get through singing. She was so patient with me and didn’t make me feel bad for honestly sounding quite horrible and some of the techniques she taught me stuck with me to keep going after. She’s the friend that will always be there to help in anyway from when we were kids to now. She still shows up as the same ole giving compassionate and understanding Keekee.

I’ve known Kierra before she knew she was Kierra—LOL. Always have been tenacious at achieving what she wanted, caring, loving, supportive and enjoys having A Lot of FUN. Now all grown up I hope that she takes the best of her character and qualities to build upon a lasting friendship, relationship and legacy of her marriage and growing family. And of course create more lasting memories to relish in and appreciate! Congratulations to your new journey Kierra!—XOXO

One of my many favorite memories of us together is visiting you while you lived in New York! It was the most amazing experience and we had some much fun!
Best Man
My favorite memory w/ OJ + Kierra has to be our Miami trip for Kierra’s birthday a few years after college (keep in mind we all went to a PWC together, and built community together in the Black Student Union). That trip was one of my first vacations with friends “as an adult”. I got to see and experience one of my favorite cities in a new light, but also got to travel with my friends (in particular OJ + Kierra). Seeing how they’re love created and sustained the community we built all the way back in college is truly amazing. I’ve been honored to see the highs and lows of this beautiful bond, and I feel blessed to be a part of their journey. OJ + Kierra reminds me of what it takes to build a REAL relationship, the commitment and dedication you must have to share life with someone else. Long story short, I’m proud of these two.

My best memory of the couple is the first time I met Kierra a couple years back. Cuz had brought her to DC for a visit and I met them downtown…. For two out of t owners in the heart of DC they looked as though they were right at home and as ONE. She immediately greeted me with love and I knew right away she wasn’t going anywhere and told Cuzz to get his Bag💸 up!! She gave me a look like you don’t have to worry about him with me and I’ve had nothing but love and respect for them ever since💯

I remember meeting OJ at NCCU sometime around the tail end of freshman into sophomore year through good folks from DC. We clicked instantly on different levels from music to academics. OJ and myself used to put 10+ hours in back to back days and weeks to achieve 4.0s consecutively. Nothing got in our way as it continued even at different universities. It was a time to be alive.

My fondest memory of the couple is when they came to meet me in NYC while I was in college in upstate New York. We had a blast in the town and ended the day with fond memories, good times, and waffle & dinges.

My favorite moment with OJ and Kierra was when they took me to Buckhead for the first time. That's when I learned you gotta buy three drinks to talk to one friend. Their love and generosity to me has always been top notch and I know they're true friends of mine. Although I was in ATL for a different reason they still took care of me and showed me around and even had a place for me to stay. You can't beat that.
