Maid of Honor
Darianna and I met when I joined her same life group at church. Transparently, she hates change and was upset at my arrival, but in time we grew closer and closer and now I couldn't imagine my special day without her. Darianna has seen Kijana and I's story unfold from the very beginning. Whether it was planning hangouts so that Kijana and I would be in the same room, helping me pick out an outfit for our first date, or constantly encouraging us in the Lord, she has played a key role in our relationship today. She is one of my very best friends and someone that I know will stand by my side on our big day and forever!
Best Man
Aidan and I have been in the same small group in our church since September 2024. During that time, I’ve had a front row seat to Aidan’s pursuit of the Lord. Aside from the one time he tried to set Kierra up with someone else, he has truly been one of the most consistent encouragers of both of us. Ironically, he may introduce himself as Kierra and I’s matchmaker, but I know him to be my best friend and biggest inspiration. As a man who I’ve seen grow rapidly in his faith and commitment to the Lord, there is no one I’d rather have to hold me to my vows before God and Kierra.
Maid of Honor
Emily and I met our freshman year of college when we were randomly assigned as roommates. I could have never dreamed back then all of the life we'd be able to live together, but I am eternally grateful! It is rare to meet your best friend the way we did, but I am so grateful for room 209. We used to jokingly talk about this day and now it's really here! Her friendship is beyond special to me and it is my joy to have her honored in this way.
Father of the Groom
I’m reminded daily of the impact my father has had on my life. Truthfully, much of my humor, habits and manners come from him. I’ve had the privilege of watching him faithfully love and serve my family my entire life, and the way he loves us has taught me more about marriage than advice ever could. My prayer is that I can be the kind of husband, father, and friend that my dad is to me. I love you, Dad.

Gian is a rock of truth within the lives of everyone around him. He is a man rooted in the Word of God and it is evident that it guides his life. He was my first friend at Cranston Bible Chapel in early 2024 and has been a spiritual leader in my life ever since. He’s a man I’d want to have next to me on my hardest days, and a friend I want to be standing next to me on my best.

Jake has been one of the wisest and most influential voices in my life since becoming the leader of my small group in September 2024. His prayerful leadership over my group has changed the ways I understand God’s grace, patience, and desire for righteousness. Getting the opportunity to meet with Jake weekly has made me admire his relationship with the Lord, marriage, and passion for his work.

Georgia has grown to be someone I admire, adore, and learn so much from. She brings laughter and joy everywhere she goes and has consistently cheered me on through every stage of Kijana and I's relationship. I have looked up to her as a wife, a leader, and a faithful friend. Her kindness and generosity has left an eternal impact on me and honoring her today is only a small way to say thank you.

I knew that Levi would be a groomsman in my wedding far before Kierra and I ever went on our first date. We’ve been friends since the 5th grade and we’ve experienced every aspect of “growing up” together. Throughout each stage, he’s been a brother who I can rely upon for anything. Whether it be a freakishly early workout or a day fishing on the pond, his presence in my life has been loving, consistent, and a blessing.

Payton is my little sister, yet I look up to her more than she probably knows. I can't believe the little girl who used to copy everything I did is now the first person I look to for wisdom and encouragement and advice. Our childhood wasn't always easy but by God's grace, she is my very best friend and one of my most favorite people. Today wouldn't be complete without her by my side.

Aidan and I met in the fall of 2021 when I transferred high schools to the Severn School in my junior year. In a time that brought about rapid change and difficulties, my friendship with Aidan gave me a strong sense of purpose. We were blessed with the opportunity to start a Bible study at our high school together and ever since, Aidan has blessed me by his encouragement, hospitality, and passion for understanding God. As one of my longest lasting friends, I have no doubt that he will support Kierra and I for years to come.

Funny enough I always prayed to marry into a family that would allow me to gain another sibling. The Lord truly sees the desires of our hearts and the proof of that is Jada! She is joy-filled and kind and it has been the sweetest thing to watch her and Kijana's relationship. It means the world to be able to have her stand by me as I become a Lloyd.

There haven’t been many days in the last three years when Sam and I haven’t spoken. Ever since we shared a freshman year dorm building, we’ve shared every aspect of our lives with each other over drives to church, meals, and training room hangouts. Aside from our friendship, I’ve had the pleasure of sharing a small group with Sam for nearly a year. His life is truly guided by a zeal for the Lord and he is exactly the type of man I want standing next to me.

It is rare to be able to walk through similar seasons of life with people so back to back, but Kelcie and I have been able to navigate dating, engagement, and weddings all at the same time. She is someone who I consider to be like an older sister and I am made better by her wisdom and authenticity. I know that she is someone who will hold me to my vows and remind me of the joy and great purpose of Kijana and I's covenant often.

Ryan has been a voice of reason and wisdom in my life for nearly two years now. In the moments where I have struggled to see the Lord’s will for my life, Ryan has been the first to remind me of the Lord’s goodness and provision. Seeing how Ryan selflessly serves his family and church has given me a better vision of the man I hope to be. Kierra and I’s relationship would not have been the same without Ryan and his wife, Alexandra, investing in us.

Bella and Kijana became friends freshman year of college and her and I later met when she joined our church. What started off as being mere acquaintances has grown into one of the most fun and sweet friendships I have. She is the life of the party and a loyal and faithful friend. Since the beginning of Kijana and I's relationship she has been one of our biggest fans and it only makes sense to have her beside us on our best day yet.

I had the blessing of living with Cole and his family for over a year during my senior at Severn. Over countless family meals, 6am drives, and procrastinated homework sessions, Cole became a brother to me. Cole has continually inspired me through his consistency and determination in every aspect of his life. This day wouldn’t be the same without him standing by my side.

Tori has been my spiritual guide and biggest influence for years now. Because of her, I have deepened my faith in God, grown in wisdom, and found a forever friend. She has been one of my greatest encouragers throughout Kijana and I's story unfolding and I am made better because of her. I know that she will continue to be by my side, continuing to encourage me as I enter into covenant!

Max and I have been roommates since our freshman year and since then, we haven’t been able to hide any parts of our life from each other if we tried. He was the first to know I went on a date, had a girlfriend and bought a ring. All of these things he could tell by the look on my face when I walked in the room. Something about living with someone for three years makes them a brother for life, and the day wouldn’t be the same without him standing there with me.

The first summer that I met Mikayla I told her "We are going to be best friends" and somehow it worked! She was one of the first people to find out that Kijana and I were talking and has continually supported us since then along with her husband Gian. We share so many fun memories together and I want one of those to include her by my side on our special day.
