Are you getting married…again?

Answer

Nope! This is NOT a wedding. This will essentially just be a big party, with a brief (15-30 minutes) vow renewal ceremony in between the hors d’oeuvres and dinner! You can expect good conversation, delicious food, and plenty of opportunity to show off your best moves on the dance floor.

Answer

You can RSVP on the home page of this website, using the “RSVP” button located about halfway down the page. If this option does not work for you, then you are also welcome to email your RSVP to Marissa at fenmar85@gmail.com. Don’t forget your meal selection!

Can I bring my children? How about a plus-one?

Answer

We love your children, and we love that they would want to celebrate with us! However, due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under 18 or anyone not named on the invitation at this event. We ask that you find other arrangements for your young ones, and please refrain from bringing anyone not named on the invitation. We thank you for your understanding, and look forward to celebrating with you!

What is the best way to get to and from the venue?

Answer

The best method would be via vehicle: your own, a rental, rideshare such as Uber, or carpooling with a friend. The hotel options located on the Travel page are all within 5 minutes driving distance!

When should I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Our official start time is 5:00 PM, so please aim to arrive no later than that. We suggest you allow extra travel time to account for holiday traffic, and consider arriving 10 minutes early to secure optimal parking.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes! There are several parking lots throughout the Publick House's property: 1.) Handicapped parking located IN FRONT of the Historic Inn, with a ramp entrance. 2.) Main parking located BEHIND the Historic Inn. Entrance will be through the Bake Shop. *This entrance includes a flight of stairs.* We suggest you arrive about 10 minutes ahead of time to secure parking closest to the entrance.

Is the venue wheelchair-accessible?

Answer

Yes! Please park or drop-off in the small parking area IN FRONT of the Historic Inn. There is a ramp entrance that leads directly into the venue. Please visit https://publickhouse.com/accessibility/ for more information on their accessibility.

Where can I stay overnight?

Answer

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Publick House Historic Inn and Country Lodge, which are exclusively available to book until November 12, 2024. There are also several other nearby hotels available for individual booking. Please visit the “Travel” page for more information on hotel options and booking a blocked room.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire! Please see the link below for an explanation and example of cocktail attire. This event will be FULLY INDOORS. What kind of food and beverages will be served?

Answer

If you have a severe allergy or intolerance, please note that in your RSVP for ours’ and our catering team’s awareness. The entrée options will be a chicken dish, a pot roast dish, or a vegetarian pasta dish; you will select one of those options in your RSVP. Water, coffee, and tea will be freely available throughout the event. If you choose to partake in alcoholic beverages, there will be a cash bar available until 30 minutes prior to the event end time.

Am I allowed to take pictures at the event?

Answer

Yes! We encourage you to snap away** and share any of the results with us! If you want to share on social media, please use the hashtag #kiernanwedoredo so that we can easily find the posts to reminisce later. **We do ask that you be respectful of other guests during quieter moments such as the ceremony or special dances, and refrain from using flash or loud shutter noises. If you are unsure if your flash or sound is on, then please leave the photo-taking to others. Thank you!

Where should I bring/send a gift?

Answer

Your presence at this celebration is the greatest gift we could ask for! But if you would still like to honor us with a gift, please visit our registry (located in the “Registry” page on this website) for options. A card box will also be available at the venue.
