let's celebrate!

As we've been doing religiously since 2021, we went up to Vermont for what appeared to be another great weekend skiing at Mad River Glen with the Powers family. Sam had planned everything meticulously and thoughtfully, getting the whole family involved and ensuring that the surprise was pulled off without a hitch. While normally Kiera is one of the first people ready to get on the lift when it opens at 8:30, this morning turned out to be a slow one for her, much to the dismay of all involved! We finally all made it onto the legendary Single Chair at Mad River Glen to get a family ski run in before Sandie had to teach ski school. The family stopped to take a group photo at the top of the Single Chair on the deck of the Stark's Nest, and Sam asked to take one with Kiera as well. He threw down his helmet and when Kiera leaned forward to pick it up, she turned around to see Sam on one knee with the whole family there to witness. It was of course an immediate yes (after quite a few screams), and the rest is history!
