The dress code is Formal Garden Party. Think "elegant" with garden colors for the season. There will be a brick walkway and grassy landscaping, so please consider your footwear carefully.

The Ben Taylor House in Grass Valley has two easy access street parking locations. One on Alta Street leading up to the historic home, the other off W. Main Street onto Ben Taylor Crossing. Both areas are easy walking distance to the historic grounds. Please leave the driveway clear for immediate family, the eldery, and disabled guests.

Late September in Downtown Grass Valley is very comfortable. We are expecting temps in the mid 70s with mild evenings. If you tend to catch a chill feel free to bring a wrap or borrow a suit jacket from a gentleman!

Answer

Guests should arrive between 3:45 PM and 4:10 PM and seat themselves on either side of the brick walkway. At 4:20 PM the procession and ceremony will begin. Drinks will be available at 5:00 PM, dinner will follow at 6:00 PM, and the celebration and dancing will conclude at roughly 8:00 PM due to the noise ordinance in Grass Valley. Please do not feel obligated to clean up, you are our guests!

Josh and Kiera adore children! Please send a private message to them to request a plus one (or two). There will be an area for the kiddos to relax and play games on the lawn with their very own kid size table and cushions to eat at! Note: there is a pond and blind turn driveway so please keep a close eye on the littles!
