What is the dress code?

Semi-formal. Ladies are encouraged to wear a dress, and gentlemen a suit and tie or a sport coat. As the ceremony will take place in a church, please plan to wear your Sunday best. Our color palette will be included with the invitation—feel free to use it as inspiration when selecting your attire.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your little ones, but due to the limited space, we kindly ask that this celebration be reserved for adults only. This will allow all our guests to gather comfortably and joyfully as we celebrate God’s blessing on our marriage. We deeply appreciate your understanding and support.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Will you be serving alcohol?

Answer

No, we will not be serving alcohol at the church. We look forward to sharing a relaxed and joyful time together following the ceremony.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that no photos be taken during the ceremony so this sacred moment can remain focused on the covenant being made. Following the ceremony, we will spend an hour taking portraits with our photographer. After that time, guests are welcome to take photos and record as we continue the celebration together. Any photos will be made shareable after the wedding.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

March in Wisconsin often brings crisp early-spring air, with cooler temperatures and the gentle transition from winter to spring. As we gather to celebrate God’s faithfulness and the beginning of our marriage, we recommend bringing a coat or shawl for comfort as you travel to and from the church.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. The ceremony will take place inside the church. Please note that there is a staircase to enter the sanctuary; however, ushers and attendants will be available to gladly assist any guests who may need help entering.

Where should guests park?

Answer

Guests may park in front of the church or along the road nearby. As March can still be chilly and icy, we encourage allowing a few extra minutes for a safe and comfortable arrival.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Thank you in advance for sending your RSVP before February 14. We kindly ask that you respond by this date so we can finalize all the details for our special day. You can mail back the card enclosed in your invitation or simply RSVP right here on our wedding website.

Answer

We are so thankful you will be joining us for this celebration of our love. While gifts are not expected, we have registered for a few items. Our wedding registry can be found here on our website.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

A block of rooms has been reserved at Country Inn River Falls. We encourage guests to visit the Travel page on our website for booking details, as well as additional lodging recommendations and travel information. We recommend booking accommodations early to ensure availability.

Will there be food and drinks after the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. Following the ceremony, we will be serving cake, cupcakes and punch, along with tea and coffee, at the church. Afterward, we will be heading out to a local restaurant for the reception. Please don’t forget to RSVP for the dinner as well so we can continue the celebration together. We look forward to sharing this time of fellowship and giving thanks for God’s blessings.

Will transportation be provided between the hotel, ceremony and reception?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, and guests are kindly asked to plan their own travel arrangements following the ceremony and resection. Please note that ride-share services such as Uber and Lyft are unavailable in the area.

Is there a specific end time for the venue?

Answer

Yes, we have reserved the chapel for four hours and will need to conclude our celebration and depart to the reception venue once that time has ended. We appreciate your understanding as we honor the church and joyfully celebrate the blessing of our marriage.

Will there be a transfer to the reception?

Answer

Guests are kindly asked to make their own way to the reception location following the festivities after the ceremony. The reception will be held at West Wind Supper Club, which is approximately 30 minutes from the ceremony venue. Directions and details are found on the schedule page on the website.

Will there be a guest book or other memory-capturing features?

Answer

Yes. In place of a traditional guest book, we have chosen a Bible that will become our family Bible. We invite you to sign your name and highlight a favorite passage or a scripture that has encouraged you or guided you in your own life—one you return to often. These words will be a treasured reminder of the prayers, wisdom, and love shared with us as we begin our marriage.
