#TheProposal
We attended the same high school, but never dated. It wasn't until after high school that flirting started to emerge through Twitter. I always joked with her that she looked similar to my celebrity crush Nicole Ari Parker, insinuating that I admired her as well. I remember seeing her tweet about attending LSU's homecoming game and tailgate on campus. I replied to her tweet stating that I was coming to join her, in which she jokingly replied: "okay come on". I felt like this was my best shot at securing a chance to hang out with her, after years of waiting for an opportunity. As it got close to the homecoming date (October 25, 2014), I sent her a DM telling her that I was serious about coming up there. I even bought a homecoming game ticket to prove it. She was happy to hear the news that I was coming. I knew I wanted to make the first impression special, so I decided to purchase her some gifts as a surprise. I ordered some LSU gear, perfume, Pandora jewelry, card, and other items. I wrapped it up and placed it inside a large gift bag. I arrived at LSU's campus and navigated my way to her apartments (I still don't know how I found it with all the foot traffic during homecoming weekend). We hugged, I introduced myself to her friends and immediately gave her the present. She was flattered at the gesture. From our first interaction, we immediately clicked. We tailgated, partied, attended the game, went out to Tigerland, and been in love ever since.
