There was once a time where we both worked for 'Cinetopia' . (A large movie theater/ restaurant ) Bristol worked for the theater side; me, the restaurant side. I would be hosting the front of the dining room and Bristol would be across the way in a little cubby called 'Guest Services', and every so often I'd catch a smirk or a glance in my direction. About a year went by with us working together and smiling in each others direction, but never really speaking. It hit fall/winter of 2015 and I had been working more on the theater side. Bristol and I started working closely together on a regular basis, and it sparked more conversation. Okay so this is the part where you don't judge us. One night we somehow got into the competition of who knew the dirtiest song. (No....I don't know why) Well...I had never heard of the one Bristol named so I wrote it on a piece of receipt paper and stuck it in my apron. I forgot about it and about 3 days went by when one night I was home and couldn't sleep. I was cleaning and organizing things when a piece of receipt paper fell out of my apron. I kind of giggled to myself and proceeded to sit down and listen to the song. Let me tell you...it was dirty. So much so that I was STUNNED that mister Bristol Boyer, the quiet, sweet, shy guy I had just started getting to know, would even know of this song. But if you know anything about me, you'd know that's a pretty great way to get me laughing and get my attention. It was like 2 am and I almost stopped myself but I messaged Bristol and told him how hard I laughed at the song. For the next week we sat outside of Cinetopia every night talking in our cars for hours. Till we got so tired we had to finally give up and go home. Finally, he kissed me one night before I took off. From that moment I knew we had something. It was only 4 days later he asked me to be his girlfriend. October 22nd, 2017 - he asked me to be his wife. August 15th, 2020 - I can't wait to say "I do" to my best friend.
