We met years ago. First, amongst mutual friends. Same place, same time. Next, when our friends tried setting us up on a "double date". Right place, wrong time. Again, a few years later, when we each separately attended another party with the same friend group. Eric, not knowing he'd still been lingering in the back of Lauren's mind for all of those years. Lauren, not knowing if Eric even remembered her name. This time? Right place, right time. We went on our first official date a week later in June 2023. We sat and talked over a few drinks and enjoyed the patio breeze; neither of us ate more than three bites of the food we ordered, and neither wanted the night to end. All it took was a few years, a couple of committed friends, a little persistence on Lauren's end, and a three hour date to get us both to realize we were right in front of each other all along. For us, timing is everything.
