We really did! Our paths first crossed in our freshman year English peer review group. Even over Zoom, Isabella could tell there was something special about Hunter. For the next two years, we kept barely missing each other- until New Year's Eve of our junior year. We saw each other across the dance floor and ended up talking for hours that night, running around Chapel Hill and performing minor surgery on Zoe's hand (a story for another time;)). From then we were inseparable, and we fell in love over coffee dates, cocktails, and walks through the UNC campus. After graduation, Hunter moved to Charlotte for work, and Isabella settled in with friends at Wrightsville Beach. The distance was hard at times, but it taught us so much- about patience, communication, and how deeply we cared for each other. Soon, Hunter began planning the surprise engagement of Isabella's dreams. Over the weekend of Carson’s birthday, Isabella's family came to visit and distracted her from the behind-the-scenes plan. On Saturday afternoon, she was told they were heading to her aunt’s house. As they turned into the neighborhood, there was Hunter, waiting on a friend’s dock. Isabella was so surprised, she hardly remembers what he said—but she does remember him saying, “I think God made us for each other.” And it couldn’t be more true. We feel incredibly lucky to have found each other so young and to get to spend our lives growing together and falling more in love every step of the way. Thank you for being part of our journey and for pouring into our lives and relationship. We can’t wait to celebrate with you all as we step into this next chapter as husband and wife.
