Rocabella Santorini
Our Plans and Recommendations: Kevin and I will be staying at Rocabella Hotel in Imerovigli with our families. If you have never been to Santorini before, we recommend you stay closer to Oia or Thira Town! If you decide to stay at Rocabella below are details on how to book the room: Email the hotel directly and let them know you would like to book for Taylor Kiechle & Kevin Hough's wedding on August 8th 2024. There is a 40% discount code for rooms booked BEFORE December 31st 2023. The hotel automatically takes the percentage off when booking and includes all Greek Tax. After December 31, 2023 there will be a 20% discount code using the voucher Taylor & Kevin when booking online. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will take place at the hotel. Other hotel recommendations: Belvedere- Popular hotel in Firostefani, gorgeous views & 10-minute walking distance to Thira. This hotel features standard Cycladic rooms with big pool. Call in advance for help with luggage as you do have to climb stairs to get to this hotel. Lilium Villas- Located ~5 minutes by car outside of Thira, I highly recommend Lilium Villas for its stunning views & peaceful atmosphere. Rooms are very nice here but pool is bigger at Belvedere. This is also accessible for main road so easy to get in/out of hotel area. Other hotels in the area are: Canvases Oia Epitome (Oia), Cavo Tagoo Santorini (close to Imerovigli), & Adronis Arcadia (Oia). If you plan to stay in Oia they have great shops, restaurants and hotels. Oia is about 20 minutes from Rocabella. *Please keep in mind Air BNB is also a very good option! We want everyone to treat this as a vacation and stay where they prefer!
Flight
Flight/ Ferry to Santorini
If you are going directly to the islands/Santorini from Athen's airport, I recommend taking a quick 40-minute flight versus ferry. The ferry is 45 minutes away from airport and travel time can take anywhere from 2-4 hours. Common airlines are Aegean, Olympic, Sky Express & Volotea.
