Plymouth is the next town over from Onset. Plymouth is a historic waterfront town known as "America's Hometown" and famous for being the site of the first Pilgrim settlement in 1620. Located in Plymouth County, it offers a mix of historical sites, cultural events, and seaside charm. Beautiful waterfront restaurants and an extremely walkable town!
Check out the Sandwich Boardwalk. It was recently rebuilt and gives you a way to cross over the marsh and onto Town Neck Beach. This is a beautiful spot to watch the sunrise or sunset. Enjoy the quaint town of Sandwich and East Sandwich with local shops!
The Mashpee Commons has many boutique shops, from ones you’d recognize to local small businesses. There is a mix of clothing, furniture, and toy stores as well as health and beauty studios (and much more). In the summer, there is live music and movie screenings, so check out the website for their events calendar.

Take a day trip to Martha's Vineyard! The Island Queen Ferry is in Falmouth (Cape Cod) just 30 minutes from Onset. The ferry ride is about 30 minutes, and you will be dropped off in Oak Bluffs, a walkable waterfront town with restaurants and shops! The Island has public transportation all over the Island; and the ferry will be bring you back to Falmouth before the end of the day!
