We’re often told from a young age that the love we see in movies isn’t real, that it’s too perfect, too cinematic to exist in everyday life. But we’re here to assure you: sometimes, it really is that real. Our story began on December 21st, 2022, with a single swipe on Hinge. That first date took us to a bowling alley, where Addison showed up with flowers, like the gentleman he is. We were both nervous, but it didn’t take long for those nerves to fade. We talked about our faith, our dreams, and shared so many laughs that soon it felt like we had known each other for years. And yes, Kiara did win at bowling (something Addison still graciously admits). When the night ended, neither of us wanted it to. What we didn’t realize at the time, but have come to cherish in countless conversations since, is that we both felt something shift that night. It was as if we recognized each other’s souls before we even knew each other’s stories. Before we met, we had both prayed, for someone to love, someone who would love us, someone who shared the same faith and values. But what we received went far beyond anything we could have imagined. What we share is deeper than skin, deeper than bones; it’s spiritual, rhythmic, and warm. It’s the kind of love that makes even the smallest moments feel extraordinary, whether we’re traveling the world or just making a grocery run. At the heart of it all, we are true best friends. Since that day, we’ve been inseparable. Over a year together brought us laughter, tears, growth, blessings, and the kind of unwavering support that only comes from finding your person. And through it all, we knew there was no one else we’d rather walk through life with. On December 7th, the day after Addison’s birthday, love showed itself in yet another selfless way. For months, Kiara had helped plan what she believed was a surprise birthday party, only to discover it was really her own surprise proposal. Surrounded by family and friends, Addison asked, and Kiara said yes, a moment that became an unforgettable testament to the love we share. As Christians, we know that God’s love, agape, is unconditional and unlike anything else on this earth. That is the kind of love we strive to give each other: not because we are perfect, but because we want to love each other the way He loves us. We believe our story isn’t about being “better” or “luckier” than anyone else; it’s about being examples of what can happen when you wait for God’s timing, keep faith, and open your heart. To anyone reading this who might still be waiting: love is real. It exists in places and moments you might never expect. “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” — Mark 10:9 With all our hearts, Kiara & Addison
