It all started with a trailer... that didn’t get dropped. Kiara had just started her first trucking job with Schneider, and let’s just say it wasn’t the smoothest night. After struggling to drop her trailer at the Home Depot warehouse, she was told to find “Paul”—the go-to guy who could help. She spotted someone and asked, “Are you Paul?” He said yes, and when she asked for help, his response was: “I’ll do it, only because you’re pretty.” Romantic, right? Except—plot twist—he didn’t actually do it. He called someone else to handle it! But hey, the trailer got dropped... eventually. They didn’t see much of each other after that, until one rough hair day (we’re talking true “rolled-out-of-bed” energy), Paul appeared and said, “I like your hair.” She knew he had to be lying—but still, it made her smile. A few laughs later, he pulled up while she was hooking up to her trailer and asked, “Need someone to talk to on the road?” They exchanged numbers and haven’t stopped talking since. Not long after, Paul asked, “What are you doing in 2025?” I half-jokingly and half-curious, replied, “I don’t know, why you ask?” Then sent a ring emoji. (Spoiler alert: it aged well.) Their first official date was during Classic Weekend. They went to a concert at Railroad Park featuring T.I. and other artists—and from that night on, it was clear something special was unfolding. The proposal? Pure magic. For Kiara's birthday she just wanted a dinner surrounded by friends and family that she didn't have to plan out, and Paul made it happen at her favorite Italian restaurant. Afterwards, they headed toward a Lil Wayne concert. Before the show, they stopped at a hotel bar with friends—at least that’s what she thought. Suddenly, she was being led up an escalator where she saw Paul standing in a path of candles. Their loved ones stood behind him, each holding a letter spelling out “MARRY ME.” She didn’t have her glasses on, so it took a moment to process—but once she saw it clearly, the tears started flowing. From trailer mishaps to candlelit proposals, our story has been one wild (and wonderful) ride. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you.
