Things To Do
We are excited to share some of our favorite places with you!
The surrounding area has a lot of sights to be seen! Vedauwoo has many hiking trails, or roads, for sightseeing. The University of Wyoming has museums, a conservatory, and is beautiful this time of the year. The Territorial Prison housed many famous outlaws in Wyoming history, it is a self-guided or toured museum. The Ivinson Mansion, which was built in 1892, is a historical building and museum in Laramie. All of these locations are within a 25 minute drive.
45 minutes to the west is a beautiful extension of the Colorado Rockies known as the Snowy Range. There are many hiking trails and lakes; further on is the Albany Lodge, where you can rent ATV's and get a good bite to eat. Saratoga, about a 90-minute drive, is home to natural hot springs to enjoy, it is a very scenic drive.
There are many beautiful city parks around Laramie; Optimist park and the river walk, near the Laramie River, a tributary of the N. Platte River.
