A day to remember

What an incredible day to remember! It all started with some delightful surprises that left me feeling curious and a bit confused. For instance, his sister had no idea we were dressing up for her birthday dinner, and the dinner reservation for eight hinted at something special. Plus, he insisted he needed cologne and a watch, which made me wonder why he was putting in so much effort for his sister's birthday. As we arrived at dinner, I realized the extra guests weren’t my family, but his dad and Katie’s new boyfriend! I felt a bit out of sorts, thinking I shouldn’t overshadow Katie’s special day. We celebrated her birthday with a lovely dinner, but then Avery started complaining of a stomachache, which turned out to be a clever ruse to give everyone time to prepare a surprise! When he returned to the car, he mentioned his “stomach pain” had mysteriously vanished and suggested we visit USF campus again. I assumed we’d just hang out in the car, but he surprised me by leading us toward Castor Beach, a special spot on campus where our story began. As we reminisced about our past, he suddenly got down on one knee. I was in disbelief, thinking he was joking, until he expressed how he had known since we met that he wanted to marry me. And then, with a heartfelt proposal, he asked me to be his wife, and I said yes! To my astonishment, our family and friends emerged from their hiding spots to celebrate with us. I was still in shock as we took pictures and then headed to Katie’s apartment for champagne and cake. We continued the festivities until the early hours of the morning, and everything felt perfectly orchestrated, right down to the details. It was a day that felt like a dream, and I hope to cherish this memory forever!
