We went here on our first date! Come see the sealions and seals in their natural habitat. There is also great snorkeling off this beach.
La Jolla Shores Beach is a wide and sandy beach that stretches along the coastline. It is a great spot for swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, and beach volleyball. The gentle waves and gradual slope into the water make it family-friendly and suitable for water activities. Furthermore the parking lot is big and it is easy to access the beach from the lot. We recently embarked on a kayak snorkling adventure with Everyday California and had a blast! If you have more time, the La Jolla Underwater Park, a marine and ecological reserve. It is an excellent spot for snorkelers and scuba divers to explore marine life and underwater caves. The Scripps Pier is located on the far end of the beach and is a great place for photography!
Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is located along the coastline near UCSD where Zak and I met! It offers stunning ocean views, unique plant life, and various hiking trails for all skill levels. The Guy Fleming Trail is an easy 0.7 mile loop, Razon Point Trail is a moderate 1.3 mile loop trail, and Broken Hill Trail is a strenuous 2.5 mile loop. The reserve has a large parking lot that costs $15. It fills up quick but you can likely grab a street parking spot nearby.
Golfing at Torrey Pines is a dream come true for many golf enthusiasts (including Zak). Torrey Pines Golf Course is a world renowned public golf facility located in La Jolla. It's perched atop the coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. So it's one of the prettiest courses in the country.
