It's actually funny, the first time I remember meeting Kyle, I was running late for class. I ran in and when I looked into the classroom I instantly thought "Um, I might be in the wrong class..." because I kid you not, there were literally 3 people in that classroom and a prof. There, Kyle was, sitting in a circle with one other girl and guy and the only other available seat was directly beside him. We became friends fast and hung out often, some would say maybe too often, while very poorly trying to convince myself that we could be "just friends". I clearly eventually got the message and the rest is well you know!
I got Kiana tickets to a play for her birthday and I thought that would be the perfect night to propose; we'd go out for dinner, be downtown and it would be a special night. The only problem is Kiana's birthday is in August and the play was in October. So this gave me a lot of time in between to overthink the whole thing but also get excited and tell our families and friends. But as I told more and more people it made it feel like such a planned and scheduled thing and became to feel like less and less special. So on Labor Day I went out biking and told myself that if the market was open and I could get roses it would be a good sign and I'd propose. Sure enough the market was open, the market had roses and I now had a fiancee.
