We met back in 2009 in 7th grade PE class at the end of my day. I thought he was the cutest boy I had ever seen. Nothing came of it and we became really good friends throughout high school. He joined the military after we graduated in 2015 and we eventually lost touch. We reconnected again in 2018 while he was stationed in Guam where we would FaceTime and try to talk everyday. Life happened and we lost contact again. Forward to September 2022 and Justin found me again and sent me a message. We went on a date to the San Antonio Museum of Art and had Pizza classics for dinner. It seemed that no time had passed by and we started off right where we left off.
We went away for the weekend to Concan, TX. I had stated I wanted to go somewhere nice for my birthday. Little did I know that Justin had more planned. We stayed at a beautiful cabin on a resort. We went on a walk by the river the afternoon of the 15th where we stopped just to “take in the sights”. Justin suggested it would be a perfect place to take pictures so he set up his camera. As I stood and admired the beauty, he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him. No words came out of my mouth as I was in absolute shock. I eventually shook my head yes and he put my beautiful ring on my finger. Thirteen years later and I still can’t believe I’m marrying my best friend and first crush. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Texas!
