This is a boutique airport, so if you like only two gates, this is your choice! It is the closest to Newtown, and the easiest in and out of security.

NYC airports are on average 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Newtown. There should be plenty of rental car options as well as shuttles. Connecticut Limo is a great option to get you to and from the airport with ease without renting a car (but be warned, the name is deceiving, this is just a Ford E-350 van that they call a "limo").

BDL Bradley Airport, Hartford Connecticut
This airport is located about 1 hour away as well. Once again, Connecticut Limo might be the best option for a shuttle. However, renting a car will be the most cost effective option in the long run.

EWR Newark Airport, Newark New Jersey
Although you may save a penny or two on the flight, it is the furthest airport away from Newtown which may add to the cost of getting to and from your hotel. Renting a car would be the best option if you are planning on flying into this airport.

Minutes away from JFK, this airport can sometimes be cheaper. Keep an eye out for deals on cheapoair.com, kayak.com, and priceline.com as usual.
