- Tuxedo (Dinner Jacket) BLACK - Formal white shirt: often with a pleated front and french cuffs - Black bow tie: traditionally silk - Black formal shoe: patent leather oxfords or opera pumps or patent leather loafers * Optional: Cummerbund or waistcoat, black formal socks, and sometimes a pocket square or studs and cufflinks
- MUST BE ALL BLACK - Evening gown: a full length dress is the classic choice - Dressy shoes: high heels or formal flats - Accessories: Statement jewerly, clutch purse, and often styled hair and make up
- If you're unsure, it's better to be slightly overdressed than underdressed - When it doubt, go classic: tux for men, long gown for women
