Casco Bay Lines FERRY

The ferry from Portland to Peaks Island is $7.70 ($3.85 seniors) round trip and takes 15 minutes. Please purchase a ticket at the ferry terminal counter (tickets cannot be purchased online). We recommend walking or ubering to the ferry dock so you don't have to deal with parking (and don't have to drive home after all the excellent cocktails). We highly recommend WALKING ON the ferry - there is no need for a car on Peaks, as the venue is only a four minute walk from the ferry dock. There is very limited space for cars on the ferry. Ferries run approximately hourly but the following times are most pertinent. for getting to the wedding: 3:15pm Portland -> Peaks (the ferry to take to come to the wedding!) for getting back to town after the wedding: 9:45pm Peaks -> Portland (the ferry to catch if you'd like to be in bed by 11pm) 10:55pm Peaks -> Portland (the ferry to catch when we close things down around 10:30pm) 11:55pm Peaks -> Portland (the last chance unless you are staying on Peaks Island)

Flight

Portland International Jetport

The Portland International Jetport (PWM) is only a 15 minute drive to the Casco Bay Lines terminal (56 Commercial Street). Ubers/Taxis are $15-$30. There is also a METRO bus that gets you to downtown (Route 5).

Hotel

Hampton Inn Portland Downtown - Waterfront

Two blocks from the ferry but slightly cheaper rates than the Hilton (yes very confusing this is Hampton by Hilton). Literally stumbling distance from the ferry (across the street) . The link below is for 15% off any available rooms. The "corporate code" does the same thing. There is a 2 night minimum to use the discount. Rates include cooked to order breakfast and are cancellable until the week of the wedding (so check for price drops and rebook as needed!)

No specific discounts here, but this seems like a really cool budget option - all sorts of hostel and private rooms - book yourself or with a group! Also stumbling distance from the ferry dock (8 minutes walking)

Train

The Amtrak Downeaster

This is a great option if you are coming from Mass or need to fly into Boston! There are five departure times per day.
