We met in Vancouver at a time when life was pulling us in different directions. Daniel was heading back to Calgary to complete his Master’s, and Kate was studying in Winnipeg. What started as a simple connection quickly grew into something we did not want to let go of. Our conversations felt effortless, and a trip back to Vancouver together made it clear how natural it felt to be side by side. That trip is where our long distance chapter truly began. We spent that chapter bridging the miles with calls, video chats, and visits whenever we could. Eventually, we made the decision to return to Vancouver and move in together, and that is when our story really started to take shape. Since then, our days have been filled with travel, cozy movie nights, and exploring new coffee shops around the city. The day after our third anniversary, Daniel proposed at Iona Beach. It was intimate, heartfelt, and the most natural next step. Now we cannot wait to celebrate this new chapter with all of you.
