Meet our friends and family that will be walking us down the aisle!

Christi Fortenberry

Mother of the Bride

As a parent you have many fond memories with your children, so it is very hard to pick just one. However, one of my fondest moments with Khandice Nikole is when she graduated from boot camp. Khandice joined the service right out of high school. She was shipped off to boot camp over the July 4th weekend and I had to prepare myself not to hear from her for several weeks. I learned a lot about myself during that time as well as I was now an empty nester!!! The nine weeks flew by (not really) and I didn’t hear from her as often as I would have liked but she was busy since she was in the 900 group. Three weeks before her graduation I was able to catch a glimpse of her on video since she performed at the two graduations before hers. Boy was my heart ❤️ full when I saw her!!! Then her graduation came, and that morning when we got to the ceremony my heart was bursting. I couldn’t wait to hug her. I had heard that sometimes you could catch a glimpse of your recruit in the bathroom so I went down the bleachers and into the bathroom to surprise her as she was coming out!!! I know those nine weeks were tough on her, but she did what she always does…..pushes through and accomplishes anything she puts her mind to!!! I love you sweetpea and am very proud of you!!!

Trang Cao

Mother of the Groom

For my son, my joy, and 1 of 2 children. There are times I worried about you and your wellbeing and I always wanted you to be happy no matter what you do. I am truly happy and grateful to see you smiling or speaking about Khandice. I wish you to the joyous of years.

Robert Peterson

Father of the Bride

Dear Khandice, You came in to my life right before your sweet 16th Birthday. I’ve watched you grow with all your hurdles and accomplishments. Becoming a wonderful determined young woman that you are today! I watched Henry come in to your life and watch your spark get even brighter. I’m very honored that you call me Dad. I Love you! Robert

Hoang Dao

Father of the Groom

I have seen you grow up and I am proud of what you have become. You had your ups and downs but you always worked it through. I am happy to see that you have a loving partner that had supported you, cared for you, and most of all love you. Cheers to the soon to be married couple.

Kierra Battle-Hall

Maid of Honor

I love your tattoos. I think you're pretty. A simple exchange of a compliment created who I now consider my sister. I remember the day you started working at Walter Reed I just knew I wanted to be friends with you, but I was too shy to speak to you until I finally had the courage to say I love your tattoos. I'm so glad I did because we have been unbreakable ever since. Through everything you have always remained the same as when I met you and I love you for that. I'm so happy I get to experience this next chapter with you and I'm so excited for you and Henry both. I finally have a brother-in-law (lol). Khandice, I love you more than you know. I'm so proud of the woman you are becoming. Now it's time to make me an AUNTIE!!!!!

David Tran

Man of Honor

I've known Henry since 2017 and Khandice since 2020. As you would expect, it was as awkward as ever on our first meeting. I'm married to Henry's brother, Tony, so I knew the day would come where I would have to become closer with the both of them. That day came in 2023 when Khandice invited me to a Mamamoo concert which was both of our first of many K-pop concerts. From there on out, we would go on everyday finding our next concert, play WoW, Phasmo or quite literally play anything together! I look forward to any times, you, Henry, Tony, and I get to spend together. I could not imagine my life without you and quite literally we're family now, so you're stuck with us forever! Thank you for having me as part of your special day and congratulations to both you and Henry! Here's to being in-laws!! :)

Tony Dao

Best Man

I’ve known Henry since birth (1996) and Khandice since 2020. Growing up with a goofball was a pain in my ass, but as an older brother I learned to tolerate it. Seeing him growing up from a jokester to a man that he is today, I am proud to call him my brother. In 2020, Henry decided to have a double date as a way to introduce me to Khandice. I thought she was kind and caring, and would be a perfect match for Henry. I am glad they were able to connect and developed an intimate relationship. I do look forward to the times that we hang out together as a family, by playing games, cooking meals or just hanging out in general. Congratulations to Henry and Khandice, may the years be filled with joy, laughter and love. Live Laugh Labor Tony

Bridesmaid

Khandice and I met through a mutual friend and instantly connected! She has been a constant in my life, that I could not be more thankful to have. Thank you for being one of the very few people in my life that I can always count on to be there when I need you most! And all the much-needed girls' nights out! You are one of the sweetest, kindest souls I have ever met, and I wish you and Henry a lifetime of happiness! You could not have found a more perfect match for yourself in a long-life partner! I am honored to be a part of and be able to stand next to you on your wedding day!

Ya know him as henry. I'll forever know him as Bobby. From tripping and busting his ass on vine. To tripping and falling in love with the girl of his dreams. Love you big dog. Bobby you are 1 of a kind my guy. Congratulations.

Jessica Diehl

Bridesmaid

The few short years I’ve known Khandice have always been filled with fun and adventure. Our trip to Vegas was one of the best trips I’ve ever been on and I couldn’t imagine having a more awesome friend!

Malik Moore

Groomsman

When I met Henry we used to go to buffets like 2-3 times a week until he told us that everything started to taste the same, from being one of my favorite roommates to being a brother of mine, I'm so happy for you and wish you the best, no matter how far we may be we will always remain brothers forever 👌

Karla Ly

Bridesmaid

I have had the great privilege of meeting Khandice through Henry. My husband, Vic, has been friends with Henry since kindergarten and us four have made some lovely memories. My favorite is when we went on a double dinner date to the Cheesecake Factor in Towson, Maryland. I remember the night being filled with soo much laughter and joy. We just had such a good time in each other's company.

Victor Ly

Groomsman

Met my boy Henry back in elementary school. We had ESL together and the one memory I'll never forget while we were young lads during ESL class was when he was randomly explaining different types of tornadoes. "There's water tornadoes, fire tornadoes, air tornadoes, all types of tornadoes!" I can't even remember how or why that was brought up, but that jawn was funny. Chigga was mad serious talkin' 'bout tornadoes 😂. But we've known each other ever since and I'm super happy to be a part of this special moment of his with his soon to be wife!

Darrell Dunn

Ring Bearer

I met Khandice when she moved to Tennessee through her mom Christi. We became fast friends. We had many great adventures together from bowling, Halloween in downtown Nashville, bonfires, watching WWE/ Seeing it live, but my favorite must be when she introduced me to Comic cons something I never thought I would never do. We had such a blast and is one of my most treasured memories. She is like my little sister. She is family. I am so happy for her and Henry, they are perfect for each other. It is my honor to be part of this special day.
