Love Wins!

We met at the club. KK was DJing, I requested a song (she never played it lol). We didn't see each other for a while until one fateful night at the bar. KK was with her friend and I was with mines. We saw each other and almost in unison said "I know you!" We played pool, exchanged numbers, but I couldn't remember her real name, only her DJ name so I DM'd her on Facebook. From there we became friends, and a year later around KK's birthday, I asked her to be my girlfriend.

KK's cousin invited her to come to the Janelle Monet concert in Detroit. We had planned a weekend to hang out with her cousins, go to the concert and Janelle Monet's listening party. Unbeknownst to her, I had asked for her parents blessing. Her parents and I coordinated the ultimate surprise engagement. I booked the penthouse suite at MGM with the help of her Dad. When we arrived she just thought her Dad used his connections to hook his daughter up because he loves her so much (which he does, but him and I had other plans lol). I had planned to propose to KK at the concert and somehow get Janelle to be a part of it. I wanted to bring in a "will you marry me?" sign, but they wouldn't allow certain sizes. So me and her parents thought of a couple other ideas. I finally decided how I was going to propose to KK. An hour before the concert we met KK's mom and cousin at the buffet. As I was trying to figure out the details, KK could sense that something was up, and accused us all of "acting weird". She shook it off, and proceeded to grab some dessert. When she turned around I was down on one knee. KK almost dropped her plate lol. She was so surprised and practically speechless! She said yes! We celebrated with her family at the concert, and back at the hotel.
