It's June 2021. Amanda is grumpy and stumbling up the stairs with two dozen mermaid balloons for a friend's party. There, on the porch, she sees Muhammad for the first time. He is introduced to Amanda and silently waves while she glares back at him, upset he offers no help with the now tangled balloons. Later that night, Muhammad mentions he writes poetry. Amanda takes his phone and sends him her most recent collection. The next day, Muhammad and Amanda go on their first date to the RISD Museum in Providence, Rhode Island. They spend as much time as they can together because Muhammad is moving to Las Vegas, Nevada, in three days. When that day finally arrives, Muhammad calls Amanda at the airport and asks her to be his girlfriend, and while it seems outrageous to her, she says yes. Endless hours of Facetime soon follow. Muhammad asks Amanda to visit him in Vegas, and she quickly books her flight and flies cross-country to see him. They say "I love you" for the first time at Caesar's Palace, in the Vanderpump Cocktail Garden. During the rest of her stay, Muhammad shows Amanda the Las Vegas strip. They dine at Michael's in South Point, eat pancakes at Du-Par's, and explore Red Rock Canyon together. When it's time for Amanda to fly home, Muhammad follows one day later, leaving his new job and Vegas behind. Now it's two years later, and Amanda and Muhammad live in their hometown of Johnston with their orange tabby cat, Milo, and two-year-old kitten, Peanut ("Chicken"). February 19, 2023, Walt Disney World. Muhammad bends the knee and asks Amanda to marry him at Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom. A cast member asks them to be the Grand Marshals in the Festival of Fantasy Parade. Amanda and Muhammad drive down Mainstreet, U.S.A., in an original Disney car, celebrating with everyone at the park—a Disney princess dream! Muhammad and Amanda plan to wed on Saturday, October 5, 2024, before family and friends at Alpine Country Club in Cranston, Rhode Island, where Amanda's parents were married. & their story continues...
